Falkland Islands 1946 KGVI 2d Pair Used on Registered Part Cover with Crown Mark

King George VI 2d vertical pair used on part cover. With 12 November 1946 Port Stanley postmark and Crown Registered mark. With pencil notes front and reverse noting "obsolete 1947" - I don't understand what this is referring to. Cover reduce a base which has presumably removed the recipient address.
